Meet the director / owner

Director Jennifer has dedicated 20-plus years to working in childcare, building strong connections with children and their families. Jennifer graduated from Brandon University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Education. She began her career in a high school setting but soon discovered her love for little learners. She strives to provide an environment where children can explore and discover at their own pace and based on their interests. Jennifer believes that quality child care begins with meeting the children’s needs and nurturing their love for learning. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, watching baseball, reading, and travelling. Jennifer is excited about the opportunity to work and grow with Kidz Choice Preschool and looks forward to meeting everyone! Please feel free to come and introduce yourself and your family!

Ms. Alphy Lead Teacher A dedicated and passionate early childhood educator with extensive experience nurturing children of all ages. With over four years of devoted service in various schools and childcare settings, Alphy has guided children from infancy to adolescence on their educational journey. Born and raised in South Asia, she made Canada her new home in 2019, wholeheartedly embracing Canadian culture and values ever since. Alphy holds two bachelor's degrees, one master's degree, and an esteemed diploma in Early Childhood Education from Humber College, Ontario. Beyond her qualifications, Alphy possesses a flair for music, dance, and arts and crafts; endearing her to every child she works with. Alphy is a proud mother of a young boy. She delights in being a playmate to children, and of course, a cup of French vanilla is her preferred energy booster. Her love for young children and her commitment to providing them with the best possible childhood experiences are rooted in her belief that childhood lays the cornerstone for a fulfilling adulthood. In her free time, Alphy enjoys nature walks, exploring diverse cuisines, and mastering new languages. Ms. Itzel Classroom Assistant Born in Mexico City and raised in Montreal, Ms. Itzel got her first diploma in Programming and Data Base Development. Her passion for children and education re-oriented her career to Early Childhood Education and she received her Diploma in 2004. She has several years of experience working with children from different cultural and economical backgrounds and has had the opportunity to work in Spanish, French and English preschools, daycares and dayhomes. She is passionate about the world of early childhood, and is very happy to join the team at Kidz Choice! "My goal as a Teacher", she said, "is to accompany your children at their own pace to grow and develop on the path of socialization." Mom of three grown children, she likes to read, sing and to spend time with her family. "God is my inspiration and I want to do my job with love for Him and for Others." Ms. Angel Classroom Assistant Angel has a passion for working with children and helping them explore the world around them through learning and play. With a background as an Early Childhood Educator and experience supporting children of various ages, Angel brings a warm and caring approach to every interaction. Having worked in daycares, afterschool programs, and one-on-one with children with special needs, Angel is dedicated to creating inclusive environments where every child can thrive. Originally from Hong Kong, Angel has embraced Calgary as her new home and is excited to be part of the Kidz Choice Preschool team. Outside of work, Angel enjoys spending time with animals, hiking, and exploring new hobbies. Angel looks forward to working alongside families and making this school year a joyful and meaningful one for all the little learners!
